Cremation will be performed and a “Celebration of Paula’s Life” will be held at the First Methodist Church, 802 Indiana, Neodesha, Kansas on Friday, June 30th at 10:00 am with graveside following at the Neodesha Cemetery.

Paula was born on March 24, 1941 to Donald and Thelma (Culp) Pace in Hutchinson, Kansas. Paula attended Great Bend High School and graduated in 1958. Paula then soon after met the love of her life, Kenneth “Tiny” Unrein, the two later married on June 16, 1962. Paula and Kenneth had two children, son Kenneth Unrein, of California and LaDona Munoz, also of California. Paula and her family made their home in Colorado and California throughout the years. While in California, Paula worked as a salesperson for three Hallmark stores. After Paula and Kenneth retired in 2009, they moved back to Kansas to enjoy their glory years. Throughout Paula’s life she enjoyed adding to her numerous collections of Boyd’s Bears, thimbles, Precious Moments, Hummel Collection, skunk figurines, and her most prized collection of Nascar memorabilia, focusing on her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. Paula’s pride in her collection led her to dedicate an entire room in her home to her collection. One of Paula’s most prized possessions was her teddy bear “Birdie” that she had for 70 years. Paula is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Thelma (Culp) Pace, her husband, Kenneth Unrein, and her brother, D.A. Pace.

Paula is survived by her son, Kenneth Unrein of CA, daughter, LaDona Munoz of Modesto, CA, sister, Donna Bressie of Neodesha, KS, five grandchildren; Nicole Wells of CA, Malinda Munoz of CA, Todd Unrein of TX, Karrie Munoz of CA, and Deryk Munoz of CA, and five great grandchildren with two more on the way. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to Harry Hynes Hospice and Parsons Presbyterian Manor. Any contributions may be left at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. Friends may leave online condolences at www.loranfawcettfuneralhome.com.
