Lifetime Neodesha and Thayer resident, Patricia (Patty) Erlyne (Ashmore) Adamson went to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family and loved ones on August 19, 2017 at Bethany Home in Lindsborg, Kansas. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, August 23rd, at 2:00 pm, at Christ Church in Neodesha Kansas, with graveside service following at Neodesha Cemetery.
Patty Adamson was born on September 3, 1938 to Jesse Roy Lee Ashmore and Velma Mae (Morris) Ashmore, in El Paso, Texas. Patty married Eddie Adamson in 1955 in Cherryvale, Kansas. Through the years, Eddie and Patty owned and operated the Packing Plant in Neodesha for 17 years, and the Fireside Inn in Thayer, Kansas for 7 years. Patty was an active member of the Lord’s Chapel/Christ Church for 30 plus years. Patty loved the Lord and was always sharing her passion of his word with everyone. Patty enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Patty is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Velma (Morris) Ashmore, husband, Eddie Adamson, daughter, Terri Lynn Ellis, daughter, Lynna Lea Adamson, brothers, Daryl Ashmore, Bobby Ashmore, Eddie Ashmore, and sister, Shirley Burtis.
Those left to cherish Patty’s memory, daughter, Loree Breckencamp, of Salina, KS, brother, Danny Ashmore, of Salina, KS, sister, Bonnie Dunivant, of Chanute, KS, grandchildren, Adam Ellis, Erika Ellis, Blake Ellis, Derrick Ellis, Ty Ellis, Jaci Engie and 10 great grandchildren.     She was a very special lady. I first met her through my Mom, and grew close to her when my Mother died. Patty helped me get through the loss of my Mother and brother. I will cherish our talks about how good our LORD is and about our families. I lost touch with her when she moved away, but she was never far from my heart. I loved her dearly, and she will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
