Roy Lee Whisler, 85, passed away at Morningstar of Fredonia on Saturday, February 2, 2019. Graveside services will be held at Altoona Cemetery on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 10:00 AM.
Roy Lee Whisler was born in rural Chanute, Kansas on June 7, 1933 to Walter and Nora (Hicks) Whisler. Roy attended Sorghum Valley School until the 8th grade. Roy worked at Harold Halman Farms in Thayer, Kansas for 19 years. Roy was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, eating popcorn, and especially playing dominoes.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Nora Whisler, brothers, Tom and Elmer Whisler, sisters, Betty Houlk, and Thelma Reynolds.
