Alfred Erbe

Alfred Erbe, age 86, of Altoona, Kansas, died Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at the Wilson County Hospital in Neodesha. Alfred was born on April 24, 1916 in Rural Altoona, Kansas, to Fred and Cora Jackson Erbe. He live in the Altoona all his life and attended the Rural Bethel C-10 Grade School and graduated from the Altoona High School in 1934. On July 4 1940, Alfred married Wilma Jean Estes in Wichita, Kansas. They made their home in Rural Altoona where Alfred was a Dairy Farmer. One of his favorite past times was to coon hunt. Survivors include his wife Wilma Jean of the home one son, Thomas Ray Erbe of Altoona, Kansas, one daughter Aprile Erbe of Grand Prairie, Texas. One brother, Monte Erbe on Altoona, Kansas and two grandchildren, Thomas B. Erbe and Cori V. Erbe of Altoona, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Victor and Louis Erbe and one sister Evelyn Morgan. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 22,2002 at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home with the Pastor Jim Logan officiating. Burial will follow at the Harrison Cemetery, rural Neodesha, Kansas. Visitation hour will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 21, 2002 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. The family has suggested memorials to the Neosho Memorial Hospital Dialysis Department and may be left at The Loran Fawcett Funeral Home.
