Althea Viola (Taylor) Boring passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the age of 83 in her home.

She was born January 16, 1940 in Neodesha, Kansas to Claud Verl (CV) Taylor and Viola Augusta (Cather) Taylor. Althea was a graduate of Neodesha High School class of 1957. She married her husband Charles Leroy Boring in 1963 and had two children Charles (Sonny) Leroy Boring II and Toshiko (Toshi) Lynne (Boring) Gillespie. She continued her education and graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree as registered dietitian in 1978. She worked in the food service industry through out her career, as well as enjoying cooking for her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Toshiko Lynne (Boring) Gillespie of Neodesha, Kansas two grandchildren Seth Alfred Cole of Nashville Tennessee, Charles Leroy Boring III and wife Martina Brison of Hutchison, Kansas, five great grand children of Spokane, Washington, one great granddaughter, of St. John, Kansas one great granddaughter of Newton, Kansas,  and one great great granddaughter of St. John Kansas, one brother Albert Taylor of Independence, Kansas, one sister, Jan Dannels of Altoona, Kansas, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Charles Leroy Boring, son, Charles (Sonny) Leroy Boring II and granddaughter, Amelia (Molly) Viola Boring, two brothers, Clarence Taylor and Larry Taylor, and three sisters, Ileta Marrs, Rosalie Walker, and Lola Taylor. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Loran Fawcett Chapel and the family will lay Althea to rest at a later date.
