Barry E. Watson, age 68 of Neodesha, Kansas went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 23, 2017. He was born May 5, 1949 in Neodesha, Kansas where he spent most of his life. He was the oldest child of Donald E. Watson and Ruth Gayle Watson. Barry graduated from the Neodesha High School in 1967.

Barry loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Bible Baptist Church in Neodesha, Kansas. He loved to fish and was an avid follower of KU basketball. He was a talented and creative artist. Barry was known for his woodworking and carvings. He also enjoyed working with water colors, charcoal, and decorating gourds. He even made his own guitar.

Those who knew Barry know he loved flea markets he also loved to take old things and make new things out of them which is what God did with his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Ricky. Survivors include his sister Ronda (Randy) Quinn; five nieces and nephews Jason (Katrina) Kemper, Tonya (Justin) Woolery, Melissa Quinn, Mariah Quinn, Jesse Quinn and their children.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Bible Baptist Church with the Pastor Harold Stacy officiating. Burial will follow in the Neodesha City Cemetery under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Chapel. Friends may leave online condolences at

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 29, 2017 at the Bible Baptist Church in Neodesha, Kansas.

The family has suggested memorials to the Bible Baptist Church and contributions may be left at the Loran Fawcett Chapel.
