Betty J. Livingston Betty Jane Livingston of Neodesha, KS, was found deceased at her home Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010. She was 80. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 21, 2010, at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension under the direction of PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. The Reverend Gerald Eytcheson will officiate. Interment will be in Neodesha Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday to register from 8 a.m.8 p.m. The Casket has been closed. The daughter of John Hiram and Mabel Dwinell Reighley, she was born July 20, 1929, at Jackson County, MO. She graduated from Winfield High School in 1947. On July 12, 1957, she was united in marriage to Bill Livingston in Winfield, KS. The couple later moved to Neodesha where they operated the State Farm Insurance Agency for many years. During that time, she was also the office manager for Cablevision for 14 years. Bill preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1995. Betty was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension and the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Neodesha Music Club, the Marcattas, the Tuesday Club, the Wilson County Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and was a former member of the JayCeettes in Bartlesville, OK. She was a former Cub Scout Den Mother and had been active in Neewollah productions. Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Pendleton and her husband Mike of Wann, OK: three sons, Darren Livingston and his wife Dierdre of Sterling, VA, Marc Livingston and his wife Barb of Neodesha and Tim Livingston and his wife Annette of Neodesha one sister, Mary Ann Boman 10 grandchildren, Heather and her husband David, Holly and her husband Nick, Kristen, Heidi, Micheal, Adam, Brett, Shawn, Derek and Ryan five greatgrandchildren, Brady, Cole, Nelly, Shawn, and Matt and one greatgreatgrandchild, Gage. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Nancy Greeson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Ascension and may be left at the funeral home.
