Cheryl (Chambers) Bly, 73, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in St. Joseph Missouri.
Cheryl was born August 5, 1950, to John Claude and Thelma (Smith) Chambers in Humbolt, Kansas. Upon graduation from Humbolt High School, the family moved to Neodesha, KS where Cheryl worked with her parents in their jewelry store, Chambers Jewelry. Cheryl married Marcel (Marc) Bly on October 30, 1970.
Cheryl and Marc were the owners of several businesses in Neodesha including V&S Variety Store, Bly’s Fine Wine and Spirts and Chambers Jewelry, which Cheryl purchased when her parents retired. In July 2020 Cheryl moved to Savannah, Missouri to be closer to her daughter and grandson.
Her time in Savannah brought her great joy in the time she was able to spend with her grandson, Ryder. They were inseparable and spent every Sunday afternoon going out to lunch and driving around.
Cheryl was proceeded in death by her husband Marc, her parents, and in-laws Ernie and Melvena Hazen.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelly (Scott) Hulet and grandson Ryder Hulet, all of St. Joseph, Missouri, brother, Kent (Rachel) Chambers, Springfield, Missouri, sister-in-law’s Lecieta (Theron) Taylor, Sue (Butch) Youngberg, Ilene (Mike) Bell, numerous nieces and nephews and her “second” daughter, Stacy Jensen.
Graveside services will be held at the Neodesha Cemetery on Monday, November 6th at 1:00pm.
