Cheryl Jaynes

Cheryl Darlene Jaynes, 74, Thayer, Kansas passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Neodesha, Kansas. Cremation has taken place and Graveside Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at Star Cemetery in Neodesha, Kansas with Pastor Charles Rice officiating.
Cheryl was born on September 10, 1941 in Keota Missouri to Harold M. and Peggy N. (Miller) Umbarger. Cheryl moved to Thayer, Kansas at a young age and graduated from Thayer High School. Cheryl was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 43 years. Cheryl attended the Bethel Church of God and was a member of Eastern Star for 25 years. Cheryl married Duane Jaynes in Miami, Oklahoma on September 10, 2012.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Duane, of the home; a son, Merle L. Hash, Jr. of Arnold, Missouri; a daughter, Ellen Dawn, of Chanute, KS, a sister, Marilyn Umbarger, of Thayer, Kansas; a step-son, Brian (Jane) Jaynes and step-daughter, Kathy Heater, both of Thayer; seven grandchildren, two great-grandsons, two aunts, and sixteen cousins.
