Conrad Dee Wolfe, 86 of Neodesha, KS passed away at his home on August 6, 2021, in Neodesha, KS.
A visitation will be Wednesday August 11, 2021, at Loran Fawcett Chapel, 704 Indiana in Neodesha, KS. from 6:00PM to 8:00PM and the family will greet friends at this time.
Conrad Dee Wolfe was born September 9, 1934, in McCune, KS the son of Clarence R. and Anna C. (Johnson) Wolfe. Conrad attended school in Neodesha, KS and graduated in 1952 from Neodesha High School. On July 11th, 1954, Conrad was united in marriage to Joyce E. Sweeney in Neodesha, KS. Conrad and Joyce recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary at their home in Neodesha.
Conrad is survived by his wife Joyce, daughters Karen Clingman and Jill Wallace, sons Dallas Wolfe and Curt Wolfe, grandchildren Billy, Matt, Cheye, Angela, Brett, and Montie- plus faithful Labrador Molly.
In his younger days, Connie delivered papers for the Neodesha Daily Sun and played saxophone in a local band. According to his mother Anna Wolfe, at around three years old, Conrad once walked to town in his birthday suit.
Conrad's passions included Quarter Horses, Limousine and Black Angus Cattle, dabbling in crop production, stamp and coin collecting, and gardening. One prized possession was his Jackass Firecracker who loved Conrad and loathed every one else. You might know Conrad from years with the Wilson County 4-H Club, as a regular for morning coffee at Jiffy Mart, for his service as a Neodesha School Board member, or maybe he delivered propane to your family.
Conrad was a veteran serving in the Army National Guard. Early in his career, he worked as a foreman with M.E.C.in Neodesha. Later, he helped startup Guaranty Performance in Independence, KS. His career culminated with around twenty years delivering fuel to customers around Neodesha and neighboring communities. He retired on his farm spending his later years for his wife Joyce, traveling, gardening, entertaining grandchildren, raising hens, retelling old stories, and sitting around with the dogs.
Conrad is preceded in death by his parents Clarence R and Anna C and sister Dorothy Conklin.
