Daniel Timothy Dunaway, 56, of Independence, Kansas passed away Sunday, December 25th 2016 at Wilson County Hospital in Neodesha, Kansas. Services will be held Thursday, December 29th 2016 at 2:00pm in the Bethel Church, north of Neodesha, on Highway 75. A visitation will be Wednesday, December 28th from 12:00pm to 8:00pm with the family receiving friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, under the direction of Loran Fawcett Chapel of Neodesha Kansas.
Daniel T. Dunaway was born November 14th 1960 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the son of Jerry and Cherry (Reid) Dunaway. Daniel attended special schools in Wyoming and Colorado. The family lived in Colorado for twenty years before moving to Independence, Kansas. Daniel and his family have lived in Independence for twenty-eight years. Daniel has worked for McDonalds, Arby's, and Burger King and was employed at USD446 for the past six years and was working with the school at the time of his passing. Daniel loved to watch his favorite NFL team, the Denver Broncos, and loved to watch TV in his spare time. Daniel also loved spending time with his loving family.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Cherry Dunaway, of Independence Kansas; and two sisters, Debra and husband, Rick Cook, of Chrisman, Illinois, Sherrill and husband, David Ridge, of Richmond, Missouri; and nephews and nieces.
Daniel is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Dunaway.
