Earl Stanlick

Earl Moore Stanlick, 89, of Neodesha, KS passed peacefully at his home Monday, November 27, 2017.
He was born on January 3, 1928 at Fort Scott, KS to Charles Lee and Anna Ruth (Moore) Stanlick, the oldest of five children. He was raised in Chanute, KS. He married Marietta Louise (Smith) in Erie, KS on February 19, 1956. They were blessed with two daughters, Tisha Lynn and Vicki Louise. The family moved to Neodesha in 1969. He was a member of VFW Post 1651, American Legion #170 and Past Worthy Chaplain of Fraternal Order of Eagles #3448. Earl worked for the Santa Fe and Frisco Railroad and drove a gas and propane truck for Mobile Oil in Fredonia, Neodesha Co-op, and Crescent Oil in Independence until retirement. He worked after retirement at Bly's Liquor Store in Neodesha.
Survivors include daughter, Tisha and Randy Raida of Thayer, KS; grandchildren, Dustin Cunningham and Keisha Cunningham Elam of Neodesha; great grandchildren, Colton Ray, Camden Lee, Payge Marietta, Peysen Cunningham, and Kestin Moore Elam all of Neodesha; special "daughter" Connie Burkhead; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers Emory Lee, James Webster Stanlick; sisters, Carol Jean, Patricia Ann Bailey; wife, Marietta; daughter; Vicki; grandson, Brandon Cunningham; great grandson, Gunner Matthew Lee Murray.
Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Neodesha Cemetery. Military rites to be performed by the United States Army and The American Legion Post 170 of Chanute, Kansas. Online condolences may be left at www.loranfawcettfuneralhome.com.
