Edward Martin

Edward Lee Martin, 88, of Neodesha, Kansas passed away at Morningstar Care Homes in Neodesha, Kansas on October 16, 2018.

Edward Lee Martin was born on January 9, 1930 to Albert Lee and Hazel Marie (Cole) Martin in Neodesha, Kansas. Ed graduated from Neodesha High School in 1950. Ed married Joan Lorene Johnson on August 26, 1950 in Fredonia, Kansas. Ed and Joan made their home in Neodesha and welcomed four wonderful children. After working 31 years at Churchill in Chanute, Ed retired. To help pass the time after retirement, Ed enjoyed woodworking, metal engraving, carpentry, and operating his ham radios. Ed had an International Ham radio license. The memory of Ed's caring and loving personality will be remembered by all.

Preceding Ed in death are his parents, Albert Lee and Hazel Marie Martin.

Those left to cherish Ed's memory, his loving wife Joan of Neodesha, KS, sons, Aron and wife Linda Martin of Neodesha, KS, Sam and wife Peggy Martin of Neodesha, KS, daughters, Reba and husband Jim Black of Bartlesville, OK, Breta and husband Gregory Campus of Neodesha, KS, five grandsons, and twelve great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 18th at 2:00 PM at the Neodesha City Cemetery under the direction of Loran Fawcett Chapel. Online condolences may be left to the family by visiting www.loranfawcettfuneralhome.com.
