Eutha Heck-Turley

Eutha Delvene HeckTurley, 77 of Thayer, Kansas passed away on November 16, 2013 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by family.

Eutha was born on September 3, 1936 in Wilson County, Kansas to Clyde and Ester Heck. Eutha married David Bud R. Turley, Jr., on July 2, 1953. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, her cat, fishing, gardening and her friends. Euthas hands were always busy, quilting, cooking or canning. She loved life and everyone was always welcome at her table.

Eutha is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Burris of Parsons, Kansas, her son, Larry Turley of Virginia Beach, Virginia six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and four greatgreat grandchildren brothers, Donald Heck of Austin, Texas, Louis Heck of Thayer, Kansas sisters, Carolyn Bennet of Ridgecrest, California, Stella Wilson of Independence, Kansas one aunt and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, husband, Bud, son, Robert and a daughter, Debra.

Graveside services for Eutha will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Harrison Cemetery in Rural Thayer, Kansas. Friends may sign the register at the Loran Fawcett Chapel from 9 am to 8 pm on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 the family will receive friends from 6 pm to 7 pm. The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to The Cancer Center of Kansas, 505 S. Plummer, Chanute, Kansas 66720 or may be left with the funeral home.
