Ganell Carver Hall Ganell Hall, 92, long-time Neodesha resident, died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Wilson County Hospital. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday evening from 6:30-7:30 PM at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Neodesha. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 16, 2007at the chapel at Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel with Rev. Carl Soliday officiating. She was born Frankie Ganell on March 30, 1915 to the late Clarence and Cora Carter Carver in the High Prairie township of northeast Wilson County. Besides Neodesha, she resided for several years in Independence, and in rural Fredonia. Ganell was an active member of the Nazarene Church in Neodesha, and was especially passionate about supporting church worldwide missionaries. She was preceded by an infant daughter, Gloria Joyce, husbands Willliam Bill Anderson and Bert Hall, her parents, sisters Helen Porter and Juanita Hall, and brothers Ray, Cecil and Hershel Carver. She is survived by nieces Norma Basore, Anita Dover, and Vickie Pendleton; nephews Dale Cunningham, Daryl Hall, Norman Carver, Larry Carver, and Richard Carver, as well as numerous great-nephews and great-nieces. Ganell befriended and adopted the family of Yuni Pershin of Neodesha, and had an especially close relationship with grandson Jerry Pershin, who is serving in the in the military. Two very close friends who helped tend to many of Ganells needs in recent years are Vera Arnold and Margaret Shafer. Memorials may be made in Ganells memory to the Mission Fund, Church of the Nazarene, 812 N. 7th Street, Neodesha, KS 66757.
