PFuneral Services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2pm at The Church of The Nazarene in Neodesha. He has requested that those attending dress casual. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 9am to 8 pm with the family receiving friends from 68pm at the Loran Fawcett Chapel. The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Neodesha High School and may be left with the funeral home. PGilbert was born on March 16, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri. He received his GED and had some college3. He enlisted in the US Army on January 24, 1962 and was honorably discharged on June 4, 1963.P
PGilbert married Valerie Tuggle on September 18, 1986 in Socorro, New Mexico. They moved to Neodesha in 1990 where he was a police officer for 20 years. He was a member of The Church of The Nazarene and The Kansas Police Officers Association.P
PIn addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Jeff Gilmore of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Bill Gilmore amp wife Bobbie of Culbertson, Nebraska, Roman Gilmore and wife Erica of Neodesha, Kansas three daughters Angie Schirmaier and husband Danny of Moore, Oklahoma, April Ryan and husband Mark of Neodesha, Kansas and Tricia Cook and Fianc Sean Cullison of Neodesha, Kansas twentyone grand children and five great grandchildren.P
PHe was preceded in death by his parents.P
