Gladys Williams

Gladys I. Williams Gladys Irene Williams of Neodesha, Kansas, died Tuesday, November 1, 2005, at the Wilson County Hospital. She was 78. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, in the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. The Reverend Dave Cheshier will officiate. Friends may register and view Thursday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The daughter of Arthur and Jossie Chandler, she was born August 12, 1927, in Miami, Oklahoma, and attended school there. She married Charles Williams August 12, 1959, in Wichita, Kansas. They moved to Neodesha in 1969. Mr. Williams preceded her in death on January 1, 1979. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Royal Neighbors and had been a resident of the Golden Keys Nursing Home for the past five years. She had been a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Toney; a friend, Robert Johnson of Neodesha; and six grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Dorothy.
