Harold Pryor

Harold A. Pryor of Neodesha, Ks. passed away Sunday February 14th 2016 at Wilson County Hospital in Neodesha, Ks.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday February 18th 2016 at the Neodesha Cemetery in Neodesha, Ks. with Loran Fawcett Chapel in charge of arrangements. Reverend Jim Logan will be presiding over the services.

Harold Arthur Pryor was born January 16th 1924 near Buxton, Ks., the son of Arthur F. and Rica (Williamson) Pryor. He grew up in the Buxton area and graduated from Fredonia High School in 1942. Harold served in the U.S. Army during World War II stationed in the Philippines.

Up until 1972, Harold lived primarily in the rural Fredonia area where he farmed and raised livestock. In addition, he was co-owner of P & G Grain in Altoona, Ks. during the mid 1960;s. From the early 1970's until retirement, Harold was the Maintenance Supervisor for Prestige Cabinets in Neodesha, Ks. During his retirement years, he enjoyed working in his shop making things out of wood and metal.

In 1972, Harold was united in marriage to Barbara (Cole) Redington in Neodesha, Ks. and she survives of the home. Harold is survived by three daughters, Janice Kohler of Gilberts, Illinois, Pam of Arizona, and Susie Dick of Springfield, Mo., one step daughter Linda Martin of Sedan, Ks., two step sons Dan Redington of Neodesha, Ks. and Leslie Redington of Tulsa, Oklahoma, two sisters Helen Donohue of Fredonia, Ks. and Dorothy Vaughn of Fort Worth, Texas, ten Grandchildren, ten Great Grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren.

Harold is proceeded in death by his parents, one sister Alma Bade and one brother Lee Pryor.

Memorials may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation and can be left with the Loren Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, Ks.
