HELEN GRANNY PAULINE JOHNSON Helen Granny Pauline Johnson, 90, of Cherryvale passed away Wednesday, November 07, 2007 at the Cherryvale Care Center. Helen was born on December 25, 1916 in Neodesha, Kansas to Tom and Gladys Duft Hare. She was raised in Neodesha where she attended school. She married Donald Reynolds and they later
orced. On March 12, 1945, Helen married Frank Charles Johnson. They made their home in Cherryvale where she was a homemaker. Mr. Johnson preceded her in death in 1995. Granny loved to make dolls. She was a member of the Christian Church. Helen is survived by one daughter, Frances Burge of Cherryvale, Kansas. She is also survived seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and twenty one great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Kenneth Reynolds, one brother, Don Lee Hare; one grandson and two great great grandchildren. Visitation hours for Helen will be Sunday, November 11, 2007 at the Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m with the family greeting friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services for Helen Granny Pauline Johnson will be held at the Grandview Cemetery, Neodesha, Kansas at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2007 with Rusty Hammer of the First Baptist Church, Cherryvale officiating. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Disabled American Veterans, VA Hospital Bldg 24, Room 126G, 2200 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka, Kansas 66622.
