JACKIE DEAN JOHNSON

Jackie Dean Johnson, age 60 of Cherryvale, Kansas formerly of Neodesha, Kansas died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the home of a cousin in Dennis, Kansas with his family by his side.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 10:00 Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Neodesha City Cemetery under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Chapel.

Visitation hours will be held from Noon to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Chapel.

Jackie was born December 26, 1954 in Neodesha, Kansas to Herman and Nancy "Tucker" Johnson. He graduated from Sallisaw, Oklahoma High School in 1973. Jackie worked for Cobalt Boats for many years before becoming disabled. He helped with boy scouts for several years receiving many awards. He loved to camp and fish.

Jackie is survived by his daughter Misty Elwood of Neodesha, Kansas; two sons Jackie Johnson of Neodesha and Christopher Johnson of Fredonia, Kansas; six grandchildren, Ashlen Heatly, Caleb Elwood, Richie Elwood Jr., Ayden Johnson all of Neodesha and Shawn Johnson and Aubri Johnson of Fredonia and one sister Janey Banlowe of Pullaup, Washington and two brothers Rick & Ronnie Johnson both of Neodesha, Kansas. In addition to his parents he was precede in death by 2 brothers Terry Bell and Johnie Johnson and his best friend and cousin Mike Johnson.
