James Cheshier

November 12, 1963 — July 2, 2018

James Jeffrey (Jeff) Cheshier passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at his home. He was born on November 12, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is survived by his parents Dave and Peggy Cheshier of Neodesha, KS. He leaves behind two sons, Kyle Cheshier of Salina, KS, Lance Cheshier of Independence, KS, one daughter, Kaley Lamb (Jared) of Bessemer, AL, two granddaughters, Lillian and Alaina Lamb of Bessemer, AL and one stepson, Colin Victory, Kansas City, MO. His children were the loves of his life. He is survived by one brother, Kim Cheshier (Suprena) of Chanute, KS, three sisters, Kerry Lambert (Garry) of Neodesha, KS, Ghendi Essington (Ray) of Neodesha, KS, and Shani Stacy (Doug) of Independence, KS as well as cousins who were like brothers (Buddy and Gordon Adkins) and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Jeff was united in marriage to Diana Lang on February 15, 1992 and later divorce June 3,1996. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and a most beloved aunt, Patti Stout.

Jeff attended Christ Church of Neodesha. He played the drums at church for many years, and he used to play drums for various bands over the years. He loved his family fiercely and was very proud of his kids. He loved watching his boys play sports growing up. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the Kansas City Chiefs. He'd never miss a game on TV and loved it when his dad would come watch with him. Growing up, he excelled in sports and was quite a basketball player. Jeff was passionate about what he believed. He is gone too soon and will be missed.

A celebration of life services will be Saturday July 7, 2018 at 11:00am at Christ Church in Neodesha, KS. A Memorial can be made in Jeff's name to The Christ Church Benevolent Fund and can be left with Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, KS.
