Jerry Goodwin

Jerry W. Goodwin Jerry Wayne Goodwin, 73, went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2010, in Corpus Christi, TX. He was born June 14, 1936 in Springfield, Missouri to Roy E. Goodwin and Grace Howard Goodwin. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Annaville Baptist Church in Corpus Christi with Pastor Robert Simmons officiating. Inurnment will be in Neodesha Cemetery in Neodesha, Kansas at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2010, under the direction of PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Reverend Dave Cheshier will officiate. He received his education in Neodesha, Kansas and was married to Sharon Harvey Goodwin on April 18, 1954. Jerry was the former owner and operator of the Green Lantern Restaurant in Neodesha, was a past President of the Rotary Club, and served on the Neodesha School Board and the Neodesha A amp H Fair Board. He was an avid golfer everywhere he lived. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon two sons, David Goodwin and Bradley Goodwin both of Corpus Christi, Texas six grandchildren, Nicholas of Oklahoma, Jeffrey, Melody, Gary and April of Kansas and Megan of Texas four great grandsons. He is preceded in death by his parents his stepfather, Joe Renfro and one son, Tony Goodwin. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
