Johnita Kittrell

Johnita Joyce Kittrell, 78, of Neodesha passed away at her home, Saturday, February 21, 2015. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m., Monday, March 9, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church in Neodesha. Memorials are suggested to the Sincere Praise Ministry Food Pantry and may be left at the funeral home.
Johnita was born June 25, 1936 in San Francisco, California to John and Sara "Logee" Baroni. She grew up in California.
She married Jerry Kittrell in 1960 in San Francisco and they later divorced. The family moved to Neodesha in 1964. Johnita worked at Emerson Electric in Independence for a number of years until it closed in 1999 then she worked for Walmart in Independence until her health failed last fall.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Neodesha Where she was the organist.
She is survived by two sons, Jon Keith Kittrell of Neodesha and Robert Kelly Kittrell and wife May of Colorado Springs, CO., two grandchildren, Sian Kittrell of Colorado Springs, CO., and Courtney Kittrell of Norman, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents.
