JOLENE SECREST Jolene Secrest, 52, of Neosho, Missouri formerly of Neodsha, Kansas died Saturday, July 08, 2006 at the Cox South Medical Center ER, Springfield, Missouri due to injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Jolene was born on January 01, 1954 in Neodesha, Kansas to Floyd F. Shorty and Wilma R. OLeary Marler. She was raised and educated in Neodesha where she graduated from Neodesha High School in 1972. While raising a family she also graduated from Labette County Community Collages Nursing program in 1982. Jolene carried on her career in nursing for 25 years. At the time of her passing she was employed at Freeman Health System in Joplin, Missouri in the Cardiology Unit. She is survived by her husband, Ron Secrest of Neosho, Missouri; one son, Josh Grabner of Merriam, Kansas; one daughter, Lacy Jo Grabner of Neosho, Missouri; two step daughters, Amber Secrest of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Emily Secrest of Neosho, Missouri; and her mother, Wilma Marler of Neosho, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her father; one son, Ricky Grabner; and one sister, Joyce Livingston. Following Jolenes wishes Cremation has taken place. Memorial services for Jolene Secrest will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2006 at the Christ Church, 1001 W. Elm, Neodesha, Kansas with Reverend David Cheshier officiating. Burial of her urn will take place following the service at the Neodesha City Cemetery. The family has suggested memorial contributions in Jolenes memory to the Caytlon Wheeler Foundation.
