Karen M. Baker Karen Marie Baker of Neodesha, Kansas, died Sunday afternoon, August 27, 2006, at her home. She was 61. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2006, at the Church of Christ in Neodesha. Inurnment will take place in Neodesha Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel is in charge of arrangements. The daughter of Oliver Lane and Marjorie Ford she was born May 29, 1945, in Chicago, IL. As a child, she moved to Caney, KS, where she received her education, graduating from Caney High School in 1963. On December 10, 1965, she was united in marriage to Keith Baker at the Church of Christ in Caney. He survives at the home. She was a homemaker and also assisted her husband in their auto parts business in Neodesha. Following the sale of their business, she was a day care provider. Mrs. Baker became a Christian at age 16 and was a member of the Church of Christ in Neodesha. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Randy Baker of St. Petersburg, FL, and Russell Baker of Lawrence, KS; two daughters, Ami and Amber Baker, both of Neodesha.
