          Kenneth “Kenny” John Meehan, 67, a resident of Neodesha, KS, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Wilson Medical Center, Neodesha, KS.  Kenny was born to William Edward and Antoinette Marie (Manfre) Meehan on June 26, 1956, in Pittsburg, KS.  He attended Pius X high school, Lincoln, NE.

          Kenny was self-employed in the construction trade.  His favorite pastimes included fishing, walking up to seven miles a day, reading several books a week, and playing chess with friends and family.   He had a kind and generous heart, always reaching out to make sure those in need were taken care of.  He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents William and Antoinette Meehan, brothers Bill Meehan and Mike Meehan and nephew Brad Barnhart.   He is survived by his sisters Catherine (David) Heffernan, Littleton CO, Toni (Allen) Barnhart, Altoona, KS, Francie (Tom) Currie, Neodesha, KS and one brother Ed Meehan, Omaha, NE. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews and nine great, great nieces and nephews.  He knew every one of his nieces and nephews by name and took great delight in keeping up with the activities of all of them. Kenny will be dearly missed by all of those who loved him.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Loran Fawcett Chapel and a funeral mass for Kenny will be announced at a later date.
