KENNETH F. REYNOLDS Kenneth F. Sonny Reynolds of Neodesha died Tuesday evening, January 18, 2005, at the Wilson County Hospital Emergency Room. He was 67. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2005, at Grandview Cemetery under the direction of Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Friends may call Thursday from noon.-8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. The son of Donald Reynolds and Helen P. Hare Reynolds Johnson, he was born April 30, 1937, in Neodesha. He grew up in the Neodesha and Cherryvale areas and attended school at Altamont, Kansas. He joined the US Marines in 1956 and served at Camp Pendleton in California as a motor vehicle operator. After his honorable discharge, he worked for many years in the construction industry as a painter and welder. During that time, he worked various places, including Florida and Texas, as well as Kansas. He was the paint foreman during the construction of the Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant in Burlington, Kansas. He married Kay Gibbs and she preceded him in death. He later married Barbara Badroff and they were later
orced. He retired and moved to Cherryvale, Kansas, in 1993. He recently moved to Neodesha where he was a resident at Beverly Health and Rehab. Survivors included three children, Tammy Unruh of Council Grove, KS, Kayla Garten of Solomon, Kansas, and Steve R. Reed of Cherryvale, KS; his mother, Helen Johnson of Cherryvale, KS; one sister, Fran Burge of Cherryvale; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and step-father, Frank Johnson, and one son, Kenny.
