LaDonna Lee Reedy

June 7, 1936 — March 15, 2026

Neodesha, Kansas

LaDonna Lee Reedy, a beloved mother, friend, and compassionate soul, was born on June 7, 1936, in Mound Valley, Kansas, to Steve Clarence and Pearl Mae Burlingame (Smith). With a heart as wide as the open Kansas fields, she passed away on March 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew her.

In her childhood, LaDonna faced the world with resilience, often walking from Dennis, Kansas, to Cherryvale to pursue her education. It was her determination and unwavering spirit that led her to marry her true love, Leland W. Reedy, on May 26, 1954, at the First Assembly of God Church in Parsons, Kansas. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter in Neodesha, where LaDonna embraced her role as mother with open arms, welcoming her only child, Kimberly Stone, in 1959.

LaDonna dedicated her life to nurturing others; she served not only as a devoted homemaker but also as a cafeteria worker in the local hospital's and school system, as well as a Sunday school teacher. Known for her radiant smile and open heart, LaDonna never met a stranger. She became a confidante to many, always ready with a listening ear and a comforting embrace. Her kindness and generosity made her a pillar of support in the community, and she was often a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on during life's trials.

In her spare moments, LaDonna indulged in her passion for collecting, amassing over 500 pitcher's, bowl's and bells, that told stories of her adventures and affections. Each piece in her collection held a memory, and her curiosity for life shone through her vibrant spirit.

LaDonna's light will continue to shine in the lives she touched. LaDonna is remembered by her daughter, Kimberly Stone of Neodesha, Kansas, granddaughter, Wendy Stone of Neodesha, Kansas, Grandson, Dustin Stone of Neodesha, Kansas, Great Granddaughter, Brittanie Stone of Independence, Kansas, and Great Grandsons, Donald Rhodes II of Neodesha, Kansas, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on March 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM, where friends and family will gather to celebrate her life and share cherished memories. A graveside service will follow at the Ross Cemetery in Neodesha, Kansas.

In this time of sorrow, let us remember LaDonna Lee Reedy-her spirit as enduring as the Kansas sky, her kindness as boundless as the fields of her youth, and her love as deep as the connections she forged. She will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of warmth and compassion.

LaDonna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leland W. Reedy, her parents, Steve Burlingame, Pearl Burlingame, her sisters, Naydene Walters, Lorene Knedgen, Irma Knedgen, Irene Bolen, and great-great grandson, Branden Rhodes.
