E. Leon Koch, age 82 of Las Vegas, Nevada formerly of Neodesha, Kansas died Friday, April 25, 2003 at the Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, Nevada. Leon was born September 15, 1920 in Fredonia, Kansas to Ernest Russell and Rosalie Fryer Koch. Leon grew up in Neodesha, Kansas and graduated from Neodesha High School. Leon also attended and graduated from Chiropractic School. On September 10, 1939 Leon married Cecile May Showers in Lenapah, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death. Leon owned and operated his own Vending Machine Company and was currently working for the Wells Gambing Company. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Shadow Hills Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter Judith Caplinger White of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister Mary Zeller of Normal, Illinois; five grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2003 at the Neodesha Cemetery with the Rev. James Logan of the Grace Baptist Church under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. Visitation hours will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2003 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. The family has suggested memorials to the Nathan Adelson Hospice and contributions may be left at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. The family is also having a dinner at the Green Lantern Restaurant in Neodesha, Kansas at Noon of Friday, May 2, 2003.
