LESLIE A. BELCHER Leslie A. Belcher, 50, of Neodesha, died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at her home. Cremation has taken place. Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Elk City, Kansas with Reverend Dave Cheshier officiating. Services are under the direction of the PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel of Neodesha. Leslie Ann Belcher was born September 17, 1960 at Independence, Kansas, the daughter of Donald Benfield and Sylvia Raydene James Benfield. She attended Independence schools, graduating from Independence High School. She attended and graduated from the Mary Grimes School of Nursing at Neosho County Community College. She worked for a time as a Registered Nurse in Omaha, Nebraska. Leslie moved to Neodesha in 1991. She worked at Wilson County Hospital for time and in various care facilities in the area. She enjoyed working on genealogy and antiquing. On July 11, 1995 at Las Vegas, Nevada, she was united in marriage to Bill Belcher and he survives at the home. Additional survivors include: one son Brandon Jones of Derby, Kansas three daughters, Amanda Belcher of Augusta, Kansas, Tabatha Belcher of Derby, Kansas and Mary Belcher of the home her mother Sylvia Clubine of Carthage, Missouri three brothers, Wayne Benfield of Independence and Larry Clubine of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Ron Duke and his wife Kathryn of Phillsburg, MO six sisters Sherry Horton of Neodesha, Debra Clink of Centertown, Missouri, Carla Parks of Cherryvale, Kansas, Valerie Brown of Plymouth, MA, Donna Hanna and husband Todd of Fredonia, KS, and Elizabeth Marks and husband Nicholas of San Diego, CA. She was preceded in death by her father and sisters Jennie and Jana Lynn Benfield.
