Lorraine Mae McRoberts, 91, of Independence, KS formerly of Neodesha, KS passed away Monday November 29, 2021 at Medicalodges Independence in Independence, KS. Cremation has taken place with Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, KS. There are no services are planned at this time.
Lorraine Mae (Adams) McRoberts was born December 13, 1929, in Whitewater, KS the daughter of John Henry and Eva (Shonrey) Adams. Lorraine attended school in Whitewater and graduated from Whitewater High School in 1947. On April 29, 1948, Lorraine was united in marriage to David A. McRoberts. They moved to Sycamore, KS and in 1949 they moved to Neodesha, KS where they made their home and have lived until the last year.
Lorraine loved camping and fishing and sometimes would out fish her husband. Lorraine also loved to go hunting with husband David and travel to Texas and other states. They enjoyed their retirement together. Lorraine loved to plant a garden and one of her favorite things to do was sit and watch birds, she enjoyed watching them on the feeders in the yard. Lorraine loved to cook for her family and loved to spend time with her loving family and the pride of her life her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Lorraine is survived by two daughters Linda Smith and husband Tom of Neodesha, KS; Teresa Fuller and husband Butch of Altoona, KS; one son Clifford McRoberts and wife Sue of Thayer, KS; 14 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her loving husband David A McRoberts, one son Marvin McRoberts, and her parents John Henry and Eva Adams. Memorials can be left in Lorraine's name to American Heart Association, and Kansas State Wildlife and Parks of Kansas and can be left with Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, KS.
