Marie Adams

Marie L. Adams Marie Lizzie Adams of Cherryvale, KS, formerly of Neodesha, KS, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Independence, KS. She was 93. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel is in charge of arrangements. The daughter of Roy and Della Howard Morris, she was born September 12, 1915, in Quinton, OK. On April 22, 1940, she was united in marriage to Roy E. Adams in McAlester, OK. The couple lived in Fresno, CA, for 50 years. He preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 1995. She moved to Neodesha in 2004. She was a seamstress for Rickys Upholstery for 18 years. Survivors include one son, Ken Adams of Chula Vista, CA; one daughter, Letha Stegall of Mound Valley, KS; six grandchildren, Kim Podesta, Kevin Stegall, Sandra Allen, Brent Adams, LaDonna Adams and Jennifer Adams; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters.
