Marion Harvey Hatcher, 61 of Neodesha, Kansas passed away unexpectedly at Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha on Friday, March 31, 2023.

Harvey was welcomed into this world, the only son of Marion E. and Wilma L. (Baker) Hatcher in San Diego, California on April 8, 1961. Harvey graduated from Granite Hills high school in 1979. In 1983, Harvey moved to Fredonia, Kansas where he met the love of his life, Rhonda Matlock, and on September 8, 1984, Harvey and Rhonda were wed at the Bible Baptist Church in Fredonia. In this same year, Harvey began working at Airsol in Neodesha. Harvey was a hard worker who devoted 39 years to Airsol.

In Harvey’s free time he loved to play golf, take trips on his motorcycle with his son Michael, travel, and root on his favorite sports teams, the Alabama Crimson Tide, San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Chargers. He was a devoted and loving husband and father; he loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altoona.

Harvey is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Wilma Hatcher, sister, Betty Ward and son, William Harvey Hatcher.

Harvey’s memory will carry on with his wife of 38 years, Rhonda Hatcher, son, Michael Hatcher of Abilene, Kansas and sisters, Jeannie and husband Keith Whitcomb of Thayer, Kansas, and Lois and husband Donald Riley of Jamul, California. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Loran Fawcett Chapel. The family will greet friends at Loran Fawcett Chapel on Thursday, April 6th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The family will then hold a Celebration of Life Service at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in Harvey’s name to Gideons International.
