Mary Frances (Harvey) Kiddoo passed away December 26, 2017 at the Prairie Grove Health and Rehab facility in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. A celebration of Mary's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas. Graveside will follow at Neodesha Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2017, with family greeting friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at Loran Fawcett Chapel.
Mary Frances (Harvey) Kiddoo was born on January 30, 1918 in Neodesha, Kansas, to Albert Roy Harvey and Millie Elizabeth (Sanders) Harvey. Mary married the love of her life, Albert R. Kiddoo Jr. on August 4, 1939 in Neodesha. They spent most of their life rearing their two daughters and one son in Neodesha, but later lived in Independence, Kansas, with stints in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. Mary had a lifelong love of music. In her youth, she sang with her sisters, Dorothy and Meredith, who billed themselves as the "Harvey Sisters". The trio was well known around the region at local gatherings and on the radio. She taught herself to play the piano when she was young, and continued to play well into her 90s. While she had a variety of jobs through the years, she was especially proud of being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Mary will be remembered for her beauty, kindness and good spirit.
Those left to cherish her memory are, daughters, Judith Wiltse of Independence, Kansas, and Nancy (Jim) Harris, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, son, Thomas (Yong Cha) Kiddoo, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and thirteen great-great grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Albert R. Kiddoo Jr., brothers, Fred, Estel, John and Frank, sisters, Dorothy, Meredith, and Betty. The family has suggested memorials be left to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, and contributions may be left at the Loran Fawcett Chapel.
