Edna Maxine Jones Edna Maxine Jones of Neodesha, KS, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at Wilson Medical CenterReece Campus. She was 85. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church under the direction of PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Interment will be in Neodesha Catholic Cemetery. Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. The daughter of Noel and Opha Priddy Casey, she was born May 11, 1925, at Rosston, OK. She graduated from Rosston High School in 1944. On February 28, 1944, she was united in marriage to Delbert Red Secrest in Buffalo, OK. The couple moved to Neodesha in 1958 and were later divorced. On September 28, 1979, she married Glenn L. Jones in Neodesha. He survives. Mrs. Jones was a hairdresser for 30 years in Neodesha and was a special education aide for USD 461 for 20 years, retiring at age 76. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, a life member and past president of VFW Post 5962 Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of VFW Post 3018 Ladies Auxiliary in Fredonia, KS. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Terry Secrest of Neodesha, Gary Secrest of Dixon, MO, and Ronnie Secrest of Thailand one daughter, Christine Porter of Wichita, KS one stepson, Gary Jones of Lebo, KS two stepdaughters, Sharon Wright of Grove, OK, and Charlotte Schultz of Olathe, KS one sister, Wilma Drew of Lavern, OK, 11 grandchildren seven stepgrandchildren 20 greatgrandchildren 19 stepgrandchildren and two stepgreatgreatgrandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Leo Casey. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wilson Medical Center Ladies Auxiliary.
