Minnie Lovett, 91, passed into the Presence of the Lord April 09, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Neodesha, Kansas. Funeral services, under the direction of PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel, will be held on Wednesday, April 13th at 2:00 p.m. at the Grace Baptist Church in Neodesha with Pastor Jim Logan officiating. Interment will be at the Neodesha Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites performed by a detachment from the United States Navy. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The family has suggested memorial remembrances to Central American Missions and remembrances will be received at the funeral home. Minnie Louverna Lovett was born October 01, 1919 in Neodesha to McElroy Lovett amp Alice George Lovett. Minnie graduated from Neodesha High School in 1937. She enlisted in the United States Navy in May of 1943 and was discharged in January of 1946 serving in World War II . She then went on to attend and graduate from Biola College in Los Angeles, CA in 1949 where she became a Missionary, and went on to serve the Lord with the Central American Mission in Honduras and Mexico until her retirement in 1985. She returned to Neodesha after her retirement. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church of Neodesha. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings.
