Opal Lowry-Vorderbrugge

OPAL M. LOWRY VORDERBRUEGGE Opal M. Vorderbruegge, 93, of Neodesha, died Friday evening at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Interment will be at the Neodesha Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. til 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Opal Mae Lowry Vorderbruegge was born November 12, 1913 at Berryville, Arkansas, the daughter of James E. Johnson and Lela May Walker Johnson. She attended Neodesha schools. She was a seamstress for various clothing factories in the area. On September 26, 1931 at Neodesha, Kansas she was united in marriage to Robert O. Lowry. Mr. Lowry preceded his wife in death on April 23, 1965. She was united in marriage to Edward Vorderbruegge. He also preceded his wife in death. She is survived by: two sons, Charles Lowry of Joplin, Missouri and Jerry Lowry of Neodesha, Kansas; four daughters; Pat Lowry of Neodesa; Loretta Clifton of Emporia, Kansas; Linda Sue Demoret of Neodesha, Kansas, Veora K.
