Patricia "Patti" Payne

August 26, 1944 — March 25, 2025

Surrounded by family, Patricia Payne, 80, of New Braunfels, passed away at home March 25, 2025. Patti was born on August 26, 1944, in Earlton, Kansas to Cecil and Mildred (Hibler) Arnold. After graduating from high school in Chanute, Kansas where she was a member of the drum core, Patti attended Kansas State University.

She became the bride of Henry “Hank” Payne on September 1, 1963, at the First United Methodist Church in Chanute, Kansas. She spent her life contributing to his success as a businessman and rancher. Her homemaking skills were unsurpassed. Without a doubt, Patti’s greatest love was family. Survivors include her husband of 61 years; daughter, Kim Harris (Bill Harris), and her fraternal twins, Sandi Dice and Todd Payne (Poppy Payne). Grandchildren; Lucy Parker, Joel Kimbell (Camryn Kimbell), Zoe Payne and Laila Payne. Sister; Jeanne Sinclair. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Carl and Bill Arnold.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Buffalo, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church in Chanute, Neodesha or Buffalo, Kansas.
