Peggy Bolton Peggy Bolton of Fredonia, KS, formerly of Neodesha, KS, died Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Golden Living Center in Fredonia. She was 89. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Rev. Gene Benefiel will officiate. The daughter of Hector and Kate McKinzie MacDonald, she was born June 4, 1920, in the village of Eriskay, Scotland where she received her education. She married Carroll Price in St. Margarets Church in Glasgow, Scotland. They had one daughter, Katherine Price, born in Eriskay, Scotland. In March of 1947, she and her family moved to Neodesha, KS. She received her United States citizenship in 1969. She later married Alvia Ace Bolton and the couple had three more children: Larry, Alvenia and Debbie. She lived the majority of her life in Neodesha where she worked for Airosol for many years. After the death of her husband, she moved to Oklahoma to live on Grand Lake. The past year, she has resided in Fredonia. She was a former member of the Eagles in Neodesha. Survivors include her son, Larry Bolton of Grove, OK; three daughters, Katherine Kitty Banning of Afton, OK, Alvenia Harrelson of Fredonia, KS, and Debbie Olive of Afton, OK; and two brothers and two sisters still living in Scotland; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; three sisters; one granddaughter, Tammy Miller; and one great-grandson, Dusty Short. Memorial contributions may be made to the W.A. Rankin Memorial Library or the Golden Living Center in Fredonia and may be left at the funeral home.
