PEGGY HOPKINS BRINLEE Peggy Anne Brinlee, 57, of Neodesha, Kansas, died Monday, January 24, 2005, at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita, KS. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2005, at the United Methodist Church under the direction of Penwell Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. Friends may register at the funeral home Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and until noon Friday. The daughter of Howard and Caroline West Hopkins, she was born July 27, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from McPherson High School in 1965 and later attended and graduated from Adele-Hale Business College in Hutchinson, Kansas. Peggy was employed as a secretary for several years and had been a freight broker in the trucking industry. She was also formerly employed in the purchasing department at Memorial Hospital in McPherson. She married Kristopher K. Brinlee on August 23, 1983, at the First United Methodist Church in McPherson, Kansas. He survives at the home. After her husband entered the ministry in 1993, she served with him as a pastors wife. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McPherson. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a former member of the Rainbow Girls of McPherson. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her father and step-mother, Howard and June Hopkins of McPherson; three brothers, Glenn Hopkins of McPherson, Jim Fike of Texas and Bob Fike; two sisters, Bonnie Hopkins of McPherson and Carol Kent of Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church and may be left at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.penwellgabel.com.
