Randy Chamberlain Randy Beldon Chamberlain of Sperry, OK, formerly of Neodesha, KS, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at St. Johns Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. He was 58. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007, at the United Methodist Church in Neodesha under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. The Reverend Dave Cheshier will officiate. Interment will be in Neodesha Cemetery. The casket has been closed but friends may call to register at the funeral home Wednesday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Thursday morning from 9 a.m.-noon. The family will receive friends at the United Methodist Church Thursday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. The son of Leslie Beldon and Monta Fay Archer Chamberlain, he was born February 17, 1949, in Neodesha, KS. He graduated from Neodesha High School in 1967 and attended Pittsburg State College where he received training as a draftsman. He was united in marriage to Melinda Kay Bowman on January 24, 1970, in Neodesha. She preceded him in death March 19, 1976. Mr. Chamberlain was employed as a systems designer for the John Zink Co. in Tulsa prior to his death. He had lived in Hartshorne, OK, for five years before moving to the Owasso area in 1986. He was a member of the Tulsa Bicycle Club, the Tulsa Running Club and the United Methodist Church of Neodesha. He was an avid cyclist and runner and often participated in long distance bike excursions, many of which were fundraising activities for his favorite charities. Survivors include two daughters, Kristen Wooden and her husband David of Skiatook, OK, and Terri Hunter and her husband Allen of Owasso, OK; his mother, Fay Chamberlain of Neodesha; two sisters, Karen Malnar and her husband Tom of Golden, MO, and Kathleen Holman and her husband Ted of Collinsville, OK; and four grandchildren, Elizabeth Wooden, Beau Wooden, Brandon Hunter and Zachary Hunter. In addition to his wife, is preceded in death by his father. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and should be earmarked for pancreatic cancer research.
