Longtime resident of Neodesha, Rhiannon Nichole Lockridge passed away at Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha on Wednesday, September 2, 2020.
Rhiannon was born on November 30, 1981 in Independence, Kansas to John Lockridge and Cynthia Gibson. Rhiannon graduated from Harrisonville High School in Harrisonville, Missouri in 2000. In 2004, she married the love of her life, Charles Goudy in Miami, Oklahoma. They then were blessed with the birth of their son Remington. Rhiannon had a knack for always finding the perfect gift for each special person in her life. She would put a lot of hard work and thought into each one, and somehow always discovering them in the clearance items. Rhiannon loved to cook, sew and make quilts by hand and crochet. One of her blankets can be seen hanging in Willie’s office on the popular TV show, Duck Dynasty. She always enjoyed going to Hobby Lobby getting various colors and types of yarn and thread to create new gifts for people. Christmas time was always special, she got to give gifts and go look at the Christmas lights. Rhiannon was a caring and loving person, always dedicating her time to help others in need, if it wasn’t cooking one of her fabulous meals for everyone she was volunteering at the church and in the community. Rhiannon will be deeply missed by everyone in the Neodesha community, her church family, and everyone she came in contact with. She knew no strangers; she was always willing to help anyone that needed help. Rhiannon will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Nellie Lockridge.
Her memory will carry on with her husband, Charles Goudy, son, Remington Goudy, father, John Lockridge, mothers, Cynthia Gibson, Betty Hunt, and Sue Lockridge, sisters, Tiffany Christiansen, Megan Graham, Johna Williams, and Gretchen Dickey, brother, Phillip Gould, grandparents, Larry and Diane Gibson, Clark and Karen Bliss and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha on Tuesday, September 8th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A celebration of Rhiannon’s life will then be held at Christ Church in Neodesha on Wednesday, September 9th at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that a memorial contribution be made to Remington’s education fund at Community National Bank and Trust in Neodesha, Kansas.
