Richard Keith Cunningham, 66 of Neodesha, Kansas passed away, Monday, October 14, 2013 at his home.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Neodesha under the direction of Loran Fawcett Chapel. The family has suggested memorials be made to the National Park Foundation at www.nationalparks.org and or may be left with the funeral home. Keith was born April 26, 1947 in Neodesha, Kansas to Melvin Bill and Crystal Shue Cunningham. He graduated from Neodesha High School in 1965 and graduated from Emporia State University with a BE in Education. He enlisted in the US Navy on February 1, 1967 until his honorable discharge on October 4, 1972. On March 15, 1970 Keith married Diana Hastings in Ft. Scott, Kansas, she survives of the home. He taught government and history for ten years prior to working for Sands Level Tool Company in Neodesha for over twentyfive years as the Human Resources Director. He attended the First United Methodist Church and was a member of The Fredonia Golf Club, Neodesha High School Booster Club, Past President of The Neodesha Chamber Of Commerce, Community Art Association, WA Rankin Library Board, volunteered for the hospital auxiliary and the WA Rankin Library.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his two sons, Quentin Cunningham of Derby, Kansas, and Jeffery Cunningham of Neodesha, Kansas one brother, Dwayne Cunningham of Payson, Arizona three sisters, Shirley Spoon of Fredonia, Kansas, Carol York of Kansas City, Kansas, and Barbara Potter of Branson, Missouri and three grandchildren, Connor, Elijah and Spenser.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Crystal Cunningham.
