Richard Semsroth

Richard F. Semsroth Richard Floyd Dick Semsroth of Neodesha, KS, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at the Wilson Medical CenterReece Campus in Neodesha. He was 68. Cremation has taken place under the direction of PenwellGabel Loran Fawcett Chapel. No services will be held. The son of Floyd Richard and Myrtle Meyer Semsroth, he was born Aug. 24, 1943, in Wichita, KS. He graduated from Cheney High School in Cheney, KS, and later received an associates degree from Hutchinson Community College. Mr. Semsroth lived in the Wichita area for many years where he was employed in the banking industry. He later lived in Independence, KS, and Cherryvale, KS, before moving to Neodesha 20 years ago. In Neodesha, he was formerly employed by Neodesha Plastics as a supervisor and presently was employed in the quality control department for Cobalt Boats. He lived for his children, his grandchildren, and for his job. He was also known for his gardening skills. He shared his recent life with Honey Clopp in Neodesha. She survives at the home. In addition to Honey, he is survived by two daughters, Gretchen and Greta Semsroth, both of Wichita, KS Honeys five children, Lita Biggs of Pittsburg, KS, Monica Richardson of South Coffeyville, OK, Shawn Hodges of Gassville, Ark Emma Foudray of Ft. Benning, GA, and Michael Hueston of Neodesha one sister, Darla Kerschen of Cunningham, KS and 15 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Douglas. Memorial contributions may be made to the W.A. Rankin Memorial Library in Neodesha and may be left at the funeral home.
