Lifelong Neodesha resident Robert “Bob” Argyle Denney, 77 was welcomed with open arms into Our Father’s Heavenly Kingdom on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
Bob was born on March 12, 1947 in Neodesha, Kansas to Marvin and Novella (Knoles) Denney. After graduating from Neodesha High School in 1965. Bob then graduated from Pittsburg State University Vo-Tech program as a certified Master Welder. Bob then began his career at MEC in March of 1969. Bob dedicated 41 years to MEC before retiring in 2010. On June 5, 1966 at the Nazarene Church in Neodesha, Bob married his high school sweetheart, Wilma Sannes. Through the years they welcomed 3 sons, Robert Jr. (Bobby), Darren, and Danny.
Bob was a lifelong member of Grace Baptist Church; he and his family were charter members. Bob loved to go camping and fishing, spend time in his garden growing fresh produce, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Novella Denney, and great grandson, Amos Lee.
Bob’s memory will carry on with his best friend for 61 years and wife Wilma of the home, sons, Robert Denny Jr. (Sherry) of Odenville, AL, Darren Denney (Dayna) of Neodesha, KS, and Danny Denney (Christine) of Altoona, KS, grandchildren, Matthew Denney, Megan Lee (Aaron), Devan Denney (Taylor), David Denney (Tanna), Tyler Denney (Patience), Joe Denney, Allie Denney, and Lily Denney, great grandchildren, Sawyer Denney, Kensleigh Denney, Cora Lee, and Miles Lee, brothers, Jerry Denney (Barbara) of Cedarville, KS, and Kevin Denney (Gwene) of Alvin, TX, and sister, Cathy Hall of Alvin, Texas.
Visitation will be held at Loran Fawcett Chapel in Neodesha on Sunday, March 17, 2024 beginning at 3:00 pm with the family greeting friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Neodesha on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 11:00 am with burial immediately following at the Neodesha City Cemetery. Memorials can be made in Bob’s name to the Grace Baptist Church or Gideons International.
