Robert Shultz

April 5, 1940 — July 25, 2017

Robert Shultz passed away on Tuesday, July 25th at Wilson County Medical Center. A visitation will be at Loran Fawcett Funeral Home in Neodesha, Kansas from 12:00 to 8:00 with family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00. Services will be held at the Nazarene church in Neodesha at 2:00 on Friday, July 28th. Burial will follow at Oliver Cemetery.
Robert was born on April 5, 1940, to Robert and Sadie (Arthur) Shultz in Chanute, Kansas. Robert attended elementary school in a rural country school in Sycamore, Kansas. From there Robert attended and graduated from Neodesha High School. After graduation Robert entered the United States Marines. After completing his duty to the Marines, Robert became a welder and worked various locations around Neodesha until he retired from Millennium Railroad in Neodesha. Robert married Marsha in June of 1988. Robert loved to spend his retired years gardening, hunting and fishing. Really anything outdoors Robert loved. Robert loved to read, he spent a great deal of his spare time reading various books, but his favorite book was the Bible. One of Robert's favorite sayings was "Keep smiling God loves you".
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sadie (Arthur), two brothers, Grover and Donald Shultz, and granddaughter, Kensie Livingston. Survivors include; wife, Marsha Shultz, sons, Timothy Shultz of Garden City, Kansas, Terry Hon of St Paul, Texas, daughters, Vicky Gutschenritter of Wichita, Kansas, Amy Stamps of Frisco, Texas, Tami Raida of Independence, Kansas, brother, Ken Shultz of Neodesha, Kansas, sister Pauline Stark of Ft. Callhon, Nebraska, grandchildren, Scott, Sean, Bailey, Mason, Levi, Tanner, Jayce, Zoie, and Tyler and great grandchildren, Jerzie, Aryia, Breckyn, and Tytan. The family has asked that any memorials be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Memorials may be left at Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.loranfawcettfuneralhome.com. Chanute Honor Guard will be in charge of military honors.
