Juanita Smith

Juanita Smith, beloved wife, mother, and friend passed away on December 25,2023, Juanita was born on August 2, 1926, in Vernon County, Missouri to Wilson and Emma Sheets

Juanita led a life filled with love and warmth. She cherished her family deeply and found joy in their presence. Juanita's dedication to her loved ones was unwavering, and she leaves behind cherished memories for her family and friends to hold dear.

In addition to being a devoted wife to Charles Smith, Juanita was a loving mother to her children Charles Smith, Thomas Smith, Barbara Hull, and Harry Smith. Her nurturing spirit touched the lives of those around her and left a lasting impact on her children's lives.

Juanita had many interests that brought her fulfillment. She delighted in the art of embroidery and dedicated hours to creating beautiful quilts that will be treasured for generations. Whenever there was an opportunity to engage in friendly competition, Juanita could be found playing bingo with friends and family. As a young girl she truly loved spending time with her mother in their family garden. 

Those left to carry on her memory are her Children Charles, Thomas, Barbara and Harry. Brother Lawrence Sheets, and sister Emma Wilber along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, Brothers Wilson Sheets, Claude Sheets, Leslie Sheets and Ralph Sheets. Sisters Thelma Sheets, Wilma Woods, Irene Herrero.

To honor Juanita's life and honor her memory, visitation services will be held on January 2nd, 2024 at Grace Baptist Church located at 1317 N 7th St in Neodesha, Kansas from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Immediately following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location at 11:00 AM.
