Russell Eugene Jones, age 57, of Neodesha, Kansas passed away at home on Monday, June 19th, 2017 surrounded by his family. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, June 22nd at Oak Hill Cemetery in Elk City, KS, with Pastor Terry Marta officiating. Travis Wilkes, Jeffrey Leddy, Jeff Jones, Buddy Finney, Tony Paul Fowler, and Tosh Littau will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions to Harry Hynes Hospice may be sent to Potts Chapel, 122 S. Penn Ave, Independence, KS 67301. Russell was born on December 1st, 1959 in Independence, Kansas to Rosalie Gail (McMurray) Jones and Graydon Lee Jones. Russell attended local schools and graduated Longton High School.

He married Dawn Leddy on May 1st, 2009 and they made their home in Neodesha, KS. Russell worked at Cobalt Boats in Neodesha for 33 years. In his spare time he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, fishing, and spending time with his family. He attended the Nazarene Church in Elk City, KS. Survivors of Russell include: three daughters; Wyspher Wilkes and spouse Travis, Neodesha, KS, Jessica Leddy, Neodesha, KS, and Katelynn Jones, Neodesha, KS, four sons: Trayce Schmitt, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Tosh Littau and spouse Tara, Independence, KS, Jeffrey Leddy and spouse Kristen, Wichita, KS, and Travis Leddy, Kansas City, MO, four brothers: Bob Jones and spouse Linda, Elk City, KS, Ronnie Jones and spouse Anita, Ozawkie, KS, Roger Jones and spouse Kris, Neodesha, KS, and Ricky Jones, Independence, KS, and 6 grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his parents Rosalie Gail (McMurray) Jones and Graydon Lee Jones.
