RUTH B. BOOTSE HEDRICK Ruth Bernie Bootse Hedrick, age 101 of Neodesha, Kansas died Tuesday, April 15, 2002 at the Beverly Health and Rehab in Neodesha, Kansas she previosly stayed at the Gran Villa for many years. The daughter of James and Elizabeth Fowler Gidney, she was born April 26, 1900 in Augusta, Kansas. She resided in both Chanute and Ottawa, Kansas prior to moving to Neodesha. She was a homemaker in Neodesha for over 50 years and an active member of several organizations including the American Legion Auxillary. She married Charles Raymond Hedrick June 15, 1930 in Coffeyville, Kansas. Raymond passed away October 20, 1995. Survivors include two daughters, Connie Creamer of Cypress, California and Jolene Carley of Fredonia, Kansas; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2002 at the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. Visitation hours will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. The family has suggested memorials to the donors preferred charity and contributions may be left at the Funeral Home.
