Shelia Kaufman

Shelia C. Kaufman, age 67 of Neodesha, Kansas passed away, Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the Via Christi Regional Medical Center, in Wichita, Kansas.

At her request cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Church of The Nazarene in Neodesha, Kansas.

Shelia was born on July 24, 1946 in Neodesha, Kansas to John and Erma Hallbauer Schoonover. She grew up and attended school in Neodesha. Shelia married Kenneth Kaufman on September 29th, 1967 in Miami, Oklahoma. They lived in Burlington, Kansas for a while and have resided in Neodesha since. Shelia worked in restaurants with her Mother and had worked in several factories in the area. The past six years she has worked with her son at the Sign Design in Neodesha. She was member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Neodesha. She loved being with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Robert and his wife Dawn Kaufman, of Neodesha, Kansas four daughters, Becky and husband, Gary Frazier of Coffeyville, Kansas, Lisa and husband Josh Shoop of Neodesha, Kansas, Carla and husband Andy Green of Bentonville, Arkansas and Wendy Adams of Florida one sister, Theta Devoe of Fredonia, Kansas sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Melvern, Carl, Duane, Loren five sisters, Betty Harshiman, Mary Ann Dannels, Arlene Busick, Barbara Craig Reynolds, and Lorene McKenzie.
